I’m Kiayla- a poet, performer, yoga instructor, space creator, pleasure enthusiast, facilitator of feeling and healing, a lover of the human experience, and ever student of life. I’m also a girly from the south burbs of Chicago-where mild sauce became my love language and where my heart stays no matter where my feet are. I am happy to welcome you to my little corner of the internet! Here you’ll find archives of the things I can't help but love to do, as well as the offerings I can’t help but share. When creating, choosing projects, and partnering, I seek all that aligns with my vision of creating a world that is more whole, more conscious, and more liberated then yesterday’s. As a performer, I’ve worked on many theater stages including Chicago’s Steppenwolf theatre, Writer’s Theatre, and Red Tape Theatre. As a Chicago spoken word artist, I created and hosted the spoken word series Red Talk (Red Tape theatre). I’m currently in Los Angeles, where I am the co-founder and host of Poet’s, Tea, & Pleasure (The Glendale Room). I’ve been a guest star on Showtime’s “Shameless”, and the Amazon Prime Series “Utopia” and Comedy Central’s “Southside”. As a yoga instructor, I teach both in person and online all levels classes all centered on forming deeper love, presence, and pleasure in the body (see yoga page for more information).
